Year 2 Meeting Reminder

Hello, TIP Teachers!

Our first Year 2 meeting will be happening next week.  We are excited to see all of you, both those who are returning and those joining the group for the first time.

Please mark your calendars for the location near you and note that all candidates and mentors attend together.   Sessions begin promptly at 4:15 pm, but there is a staggered end time, with candidates leaving at 6 pm and mentors ending at 7 pm.  Given the time of day, we will have light refreshments (sandwiches, fruit/veggies, snack foods, etc.) and water available.  Of course, you are more than welcome to bring your own food and/or drink as well.

  • Monday, October 3rd - we will meet in the Cafeteria at Cabrillo High School in Lompoc’s Vandenberg Village
  • Tuesday, October 4th - the meeting will be held in our new North County location: Righetti High School’s Cafeteria in Santa Maria
  • Thursday, October 6th - our “South County” meetings are held in the SBCEO Auditorium

In preparation for the meeting, please come ready to discuss last year’s inquiry and a little about what you’ve been doing lately.  We will be holding a brief conversation about the professional inquiry cycle as we prepare to engage the cycle again this year.  Those who did not participate in TIP last year will be given a chance to share their professional history with their mentors.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that all of our sites now offer wifi accessibility, so please bring a device that will afford access to the online classroom if you’re able.  We suggest that candidates also have last year’s ILP stored locally on this device.

Have a wonderful week!  We look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Gina Branum
